Free Run + 3 EXT Black Nike Sneakers

Free Run 3 EXT Black Nike
When it comes to sneakers and sportswear, Adidas and Nike have always been the biggest rivals. Both companies invest millions into designing the next hit sneaker and their every move is followed by fanatics globally. For me, in terms of design, Nike always seems to have an edge - their designs are more fluid and their sneakers just seem that much more desirable. Case in point: the Free Run + 3 EXT Black. This model is an extension of Nike's popular Free model. The majority of the upper part is made from suede with the rest in a tonal mesh. The contrasting inner red lining is a great touch, but the speckled orange sole seals the deal. [€120, although non-EU customers get...

Interview with Lester Jones of I Dig Your Sole Man

mens fashion blog
Lester Jones is the editor and founder of I Dig Your Sole Man, the world's first sneaker based street blog. I caught up with him one afternoon and asked him about his blog, his photography work - of course - shoes. Lester Jones Homme Styler: You've been around since 2009. What made you start I Dig Your Sole Man? Lester Jones: As a photographer I was looking for a platform to publish something of context on a regular basis. I love street photography, but felt that the market for 'Satorialist' inspired projects was very over-crowded so I thought of looking at things at the other end of the style scale at a more urban level, and thought sneaker culture...

Daniel Wellington: The Watch With A Strange Appeal

Daniel wellington watches review men 4
Those who know me well will attest to my love and fascination with watches. Maybe it's because my dad is a watch fanatic, or maybe its's because I love the complexity of timepiece mechanics. Either way, I find myself spending hours going through images of watches, searching for my next purchase. Amongst this, I came across Daniel Wellington watches. The 'Classic Cardiff' with a tanned leather band from Daniel Wellington If I were to review Daniel Wellington watches based on it's specifications, it'd be unfair. It's true these watches can't resist water pressure at 4000m (like this UTS watch), and nor does the clock face display dates, but there's something classic about Daniel Wellington that I can't put...

Oliver Sweeney Spring Sumer 2013

Oliver Sweeney 2013 spring summer
There are only a handful of men's shoes brands I keep tabs on from season to season, and one of them is Oliver Sweeney. They recently released their Spring Summer 2013 footwear, featuring updated versions of classics like two-tone brogues and double monk straps. My personal favourite from this season's collection is the woven sandal which I think many guys often dismiss fearing they'll look like Russell Crowe from Gladiator, when in fact they're quite easy to pull off. Take a look through the gallery below.   [SHOP]...

The Perfect Brogues by Grenson

Sid Brogues Grenson mens fashion blog 6
One little thing I like about British shoemaker Grenson is that they give their shoes human names. For example, there's the Alice, a polite and study pair of shoes. And then there's the Finton, utilitarian yet classy. For something more rugged, there's the Acklam or Cayton. But of all the shoes Grenson makes, my personal favourite is the Sid brogue. The 'Sid' brogue is a classic, no fuss type of brogue. Made from calf grain for a soft touch, the Sid brogue has a double sole for comfort and extra resilience - not that you'd be kicking them around. This pair of brogues also features a split welt. Overall, this is an instant classic from a traditional shoemaker. [SHOP] ...

5 Sneakers We Love Right Now

sneakers we love now
Perhaps it's the change in the air (or the fact that we're just shoe-obsessed), we've been thinking a lot about men's sneakers since we reviewed those Jimmy Choo Leather High Tops. Sneakers are an essential part of any man's wardrobe, but to find a pair that doesn't look like it just came out of your high school gym bag isn't always easy. We've had a look around what's on offer at the moment and these five sneakers make the cut for what the gentleman needs in their sneakers. They're stylish, easy to match, comfy - but they're definitely not sneakers you'd throw around. Balenciaga Arena Creased-Leather Sneakers Creased-leather is an rare feature to any pair of sneakers and Balenciaga has pulled it off....

Jimmy Choo Belgravia Scored Leather High Top Sneakers

Jimmy Choo Belgravia Scored Leather High Top Sneakers 2
Jimmy Choo will always be synonymous with luxury footwear for women, but the brand's foray into men's shoes has been equally well received. The range has the usual leather shoes and loafers, but Jimmy Choo also experiments with sneakers with great success. Take for example, this pair of Belgravia Scored Leather High Top Sneakers. Featuring black leather and suede trims, there’s also a logo stamp at the heel as well contrasting light grey rubber soles. The design is sleek and minimal, quietly whispering luxury without being pretentious. Thanks to celebrities like Kanye West and the enduring popularity of sneaker collecting, there’s less stigma attached to splurging on sneakers and quality men’s footwear. That said, this piece of art will still set you...

Men’s Fashion Basics: Wellington Boots

how to wear wellington boots for men
Men's Fashion Basics: Wellington Boots With the rainy weather hitting us lately, it’s the perfect time for men (and women) to try out the Wellington Boot (aka Gum boots) to brave the weather. Unfortunately, very few men wear Wellington boots, and it’s a shame because they’re one of the most utilitarian shoes a man can own. Here, we'll look how to wear Wellington boots without looking like a stable boy. Wellington's Rubber Construction Means Comfort Unlike many other footwear choices, when choosing Wellington boots, comfort should be your top priority. After all, it's not like you'll be going anywhere special when wearing gum boots. There’s nothing worse than having your feet cramped and wet on a gloomy day. When choosing a pair of...
