Grooming Review: Mr. Skincare Product Range
Mr. is an all Australian skin care brand for men, with a focus on harnessing the power of plants and plant derivatives. If you’re skin prefers natural ingredients, then this is definitely the range for you.
Firstly, the smell of Mr.’s product is truly amazing. An aromatic blend of essential oils filled our noses when we opened each and every product. Whilst this is a good news for the olfactory senses, some may find the smell overwhelming. Those who are sensitive to particular plants or essential oils should also beware since they may irritate the skin.
Secondly, the packaging of Mr. Skin care products is sleek and understated. We like how all the products come out without hassle and how clear the ingredients are stated on every package and on the Mr. website. Here we’ve reviewed the Mr. Cream Body Cleanser, Eye Firming Gel, In-Grow Preventer and the Mr. lip balm.
Mr. Cream Body Cleanser
We’ll be stocking up on this zesty body cleanser – it has the perfect blend of tea tree oil, chamomile and lavender that will keep you feeling fresh the whole day. The texture is creamy and leaves your skin moisturized and doesn’t strip your skin of its natural oils.
In our rushed mornings, we occasionally get a bit hasty when it comes to shaving, and we know we’re not the only guys with in-grown hairs. This In-Grow Preventer from Mr. helps avoid the issue by preventing in-grown hairs from forming in the first place. It uses lactic acid – a proven and effective ingredient that lifts dead skin cells and disinfects the skin. It’s suitable for women, especially after a wax, electrolysis or laser treatment.
Mr. Eye Firming Gel
Late nights have given us some tired looking eyes, so this eye firming gel came in handy. It uses centella, seaweed and echinacea which helps rejuvenate dull, dry skin. The formulation is non-greasy and suitable for all seasons. The only warning here is that the you need to be careful when putting this (or any product really) around the eyes since it will sting – a lot.
Mr. Lip Balm
We’re a bit biased when it comes to lip balms since we’ve been using Kiehl’s lip balm since the dawn of time. But for those who like their lips a little minty (or if your lady likes the fresh minty taste), this lip balm from Mr. is a viable choice. It’s a bit strong for us, but we appreciate the moisturizing properties of the beeswax and coconut.
