British brand Universal Works have unveiled their latest Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign featuring a diverse and eclectic range of fabrics in an ode to the 1950s. The deconstructed soft suiting, military details and reference to blue collar workers is in line with the brand’s heritage and old school aesthetics.
The choice of fabrics, from British classics such as Harris Tweed, Yorkshire lambs wool and Lancashire cotton, to modern Japanese denims and technical fabrics, form the foundations for a rugged yet wearable clothing range.
Adding inspiration from the winter coastlines, mud flats and reed beds of Norfolk to form the collection’s colour palette, Universal Works’ latest collection promises to continue the brand’s signature mix of old and new, traditional and modern, stylish yet understated clothing; and ready for contemporary urban life.
